Yes. You can use AI in crowSync to create typical downloadable documents such as PDFs, PowerPoint presentations, Word documents, spreadsheets, charts, ZIP files, and code files, as long as the model you choose supports file-generation tools.
The important detail is that not every AI model can actually produce a downloadable file. Some models can write the text that should go into a document, but cannot package that work into a real attachment. For real generated files, choose a model family that supports hosted tool execution and artifact output.
Which AI models can create files right now?
At this point, the main model families on crowSync that can create and return these files are GPT, Claude, Gemini, and Grok. When these models use their file-generation capabilities, crowSync can capture the resulting file and show it in the conversation as a downloadable attachment.
How file creation works
When you ask for a document, the AI may use its provider's own native tools and hosted sandbox. For example, it may run code, assemble document content, create charts, convert output into a PDF, build a PPTX deck, or package a DOCX file. The generated file comes back from that provider environment, and crowSync displays it inside the chat so you can download it.
This is distinct from crowSync's own platform tools and sandboxes. Native tools run inside the model provider's hosted environment, such as the tool environments behind GPT, Claude, Gemini, or Grok. crowSync tools are platform-level tools exposed by crowSync itself, such as the tools shown in the interface and tracked in your activity and usage views. Both can appear in crowSync, but they are not the same execution environment.
How to ask for the file
Be explicit about the format and purpose. For example, ask: "Create a five-slide PowerPoint deck about this research," "Turn this summary into a polished PDF report," or "Generate a Word document version of this proposal." If you need a specific structure, audience, tone, page count, slide count, or branding style, include those details in the prompt.
If the model supports file generation, crowSync will show the generated attachment when the provider returns a real file. If the selected model does not support file output, it may still draft the content for you, but it will not be able to attach a finished PDF, PPTX, DOCX, or similar downloadable file.
